HCCB's Flood Relief Efforts in Chennai

flood 1

Chennai and its peripheral districts were ravaged by four rounds of floods that brought catastrophic destruction and devastation in early December 2015. HCCB immediately responded to the situation and led the relief efforts to support the flood-hit victims of Nemam and its surrounding villages.

Our local teams supported the people who are camped at the Relief Centers with food packets – 3 times a day for around 3 days and provided relief assistance such as 5-kg Rice pack, blankets to all the flood affected families.

HCCB covered distributing the relief assistances to around 2100 families in coordination with the panchayats.

HCCB also supported the flood-relief initiatives of the Government and a few Non-Government Organizations by supplying more than 2000 cases of Kinley Water bottles. Kudos to the local teams from HCCB who led the efforts from the start!
