HCCB ANNOUNCES GROWTH STRATEGY AIMED AT CONTINUING TO BE ONE OF INDIA’S TOP 5 FMCG COMPANY

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) Pvt. Ltd announced today, its plans to become a USD 2.5 BN FMCG company by 2020. Plans include manufacturing and selling a wide range of beverages – from premium to value – and modifications to its operating structure. The Company is also apportioning more resources to its frontline and field – both financial and human. This includes the setting up of the Premium Division to service customer requirements around niche and premium beverages – smartwater, frozen fruit desserts, mixers and tonic wateretcand amalgamating the existing Alternate Beverages Division to the mainstream distribution system.

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages to source 40% of its energy requirements using renewable and clean energy by end 2018

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) Pvt Ltd – one of India’s leading FMCG companies – today announced that it plans to source 40% of its energy requirements using renewable and clean energy fuel, before the end of 2018. The Company has already taken a number of steps to meet its targets, the latest being an agreement with Atria Solar Power Pvt Ltd, to procure 30 million units of solar power per annum, for its two factories in Karnataka. HCCB operates two large, state-ofthe- art factories in the state, both of which are located in the Bidadi Industrial Area. Consequent to this sourcing agreement, the two HCCB factories in Karnataka, will now meet 85% of their electricity requirement through solar power, off the grid.

Amidst hundreds of nominations from companies in India, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd(HCCB)won the Bureaucracy Today CSR Excellence Award 2017 under the category of Women Empowerment. The award recognizes HCCB’s efforts in training 50,000 women to help them become economically independent. HCCB is one of India’s largest FMCG companies and it uses its infrastructure, resources and supply chain to train women in areas like digital literacy, retail skills, basic IT, Tally, English speaking, personality development and job readiness.

140th Rath Yatra of Puri will also bring some lessons on plastic waste management
