What does your typical workday look like?

Nudging the entire organization towards change is akin to being a deft conductor of a complex symphony. A touch here, a slight adjustment there, all along keeping the end in sight. As part of the Human Resource team, I try and achieve that on an everyday basis. Am responsible for driving various change initiatives to build HCCB for the future and for me no two weeks seem the same! From deploying values by designing and conducting workshops across plants and sales depots to working with the senior leadership team of HCCB to revisit Organization Vision and Mission,The scope of what I do is vast, flexible and above all, empowering.

What have been the most exciting moments in HCCB?

Trust in my potential, and no hesitation to give additional responsibility. It happened to me right in my first year. When my manager moved to a career outside HCCB, I was given the responsibility to run talent management process nationally and that too without any hesitation! Imagine the thrill of responsibility, of being singled out as worthy of a crucial position. No words to describe what I felt. It has been a constant high ever since.

What part of your job / role do you love to talk about to your friends and family?

Lot of aspects of my job are a matter of pride to me – for starters, my job challenges me to think! I love the fact that we do not encourage ready-made solutions and how we encourage ourselves to broaden thinking horizons based on best practices, professional research, strategy – keeping in mind of what is best for HCCB's culture. Every day is a learning curve; flexibility is inbuilt in the system. You feel proud to belong to an organization that operates at such scale and has operations across the country, yet cares for you as an individual.

What's your biggest inspiration / challenges at work?

The biggest inspiration I have is that my work in the HR Domain has immense potential to influence the behavior of people in the organization. To have been in a role that has its daily challenges of dealing with various dimensions of human psychology, to be able to facilitate conversations that are fair in intent and focus on the issue and not on the person per se, to be able to design processes that impact an Associate's performance on the job and to be in a position where I can contribute to building a better HCCB by 2020 - is something that excites me every moment of my journey in HCCB… each role that I have handled here is like a little ripple that combines together to create a powerful wave of positive change.

What are the 3 things you would tell someone who has never heard about HCCB?

For me to introduce HCCB will be simple. I will talk about who we are and what we offer to our employees:-

Who we are: It's very important that people know that we are Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages and are responsible for manufacturing, selling and distributing. Approx. 65% of Coca-Cola products in India.

The geographic Scale and breadth of functions: Not may organizations can match the scale our organization has to offer, and the breadth of functions that one can experience.

Speed & Flexibility: Agility is in our DNA. The fast paced environment that gives everyone a lot of flexibility to gain a diverse set of experiences in a relatively short time. I think that is something that will excite lot of people who are looking for a fulfilling work experience.
